Pump It Up Holiday Event
I just received their newsletter and just had to share the following information. I'm sure you will all love it!!!
Family Jump Nights for the Holidays
Bring the whole family to Pump It Up over the holidays! Our Thanksgiving Family Jump was so popular that we've added eight Family Jump Night sessions so there should be plenty of room for everyone. Two sessions each night at 7:00pm and 8:30pm on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, the 22rd, 23rd, 29th and 30th. It's great family fun and perfect for out of town guests. The cost is just $6 per child and $4 per sibling (plus taxes), adults & crawlers are free.
We'll also be holding our regular Pop-In-Play sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays over the holiday, except for Christmas Eve when we will be closed.
New X-Bounce and Lights Out Parties
New for 2010 - our X-Bounce party takes your party experience to the next level! We turn off the lights, crank up the music, hand out glow sticks, fire up our state-of-the-art special effects equipment and BAM! - the inflatable filled arena turns into an Xtreme fun zone. Recommended for ages 10-14.
For 7-10 year-olds we still offer our Lights Out party. Still dark, still fun, but tamer.
You can always find more information and details on their website: http://www.pumpitupparty.com/.
Send me pictures if you guys go to either event.

Kidz n Coffee
We headed over to Kidz-N-Coffee today in Lynnwood and it was so worth the drive.
Julie, the owner, is so nice and hospitable. After I checked Andrew in, Julie was right on top of making my White Chocolate Mocha. She was sweet and she seemed just as excited about meeting me as I was about finally getting to meet her in person.
While Julie was making my drink Alisha, the play area attendant, greeted me and Andrew with a friendly smile and gentle handshake. I loved that she even bent down to shake Andrew's hand and let him introduce himself to her. It was so cute. She also introduced her daughter to him. I felt a huge sense of relief in knowing that my son was going to be watched by such a loving person.
After Julie made my drink she added it to my tab and I found a nice clean table right in front of the play area. Andrew was a little hesitate to play in the enclosed play area without me for about 10 minutes. Alisha though was doing her best to comfort him and get him involved and playing with the other kids. She was so awesome! I can't say enough great things about Alisha. Andrew kept trying to get me to come in and play with him and she just kept trying to entertain him and distract him. I loved how quick she was to attend to him especially because I was actually trying to get some work done. He was fine after that and even got upset because we left to early for his liking.
After making my drink Julie walked around and checked to make sure we were all doing okay. She has set up a corner with what appeared to be a pair of very comfortable sofas and I think they even had a matching ottoman or coffee table with toys inside. The three moms chilling out there seemed very happy and comfortable. She also has 3 kid's tables set up and 5 or so grown up tables of all sizes and heights. It was nice to see that she wasn't afraid to approach her customers and actually treat them like friends not clients. It made me feel very welcome.
I know you'll enjoy Kidz N Coffee as much as I did when you go. You can just relax and enjoy your adult interaction, or in my case actually get work done, because the play area is fully enclosed so your kids aren't just running all over the place and there is plenty for them to do in there. The play area has a pretend kitchen, books, baskets full of cars, trucks, and dolls, and lots of games to play. It isn't big enough to accommodate any kind of climbing structures but Andrew didn't seem to miss them at all. He was very content playing with the handful of firefighter toys he found. The kids are even allowed to draw on the walls! There is chalkboard paint throughout most of the play area so the kids can draw, write or just be crazy with the chalk. I loved that there was a play area attendant so I didn't feel like I had to constantly look up to see what kind of "trouble" my son might be getting into because I knew that some one was there playing and interacting with him.
Kidz N Coffee was well worth the drive from Smokey Point. I'm so glad we finally made our way out there and I'm sure we will be back again soon. Thank you Julie and Alisha for showing us such a great time. Julie thank you for opening such a great place.

Things to keep in mind:
- Kids must remove their shoes before entering the play area.
- Free wi/fi but make sure you have a full battery. I'm not sure if you really want to chance a kid tripping over your cord. Although the play area is enclosed there were a few waddlers exploring the "dining" area.
- No outside food or drinks allowed. You can purchase coffee, snacks and such there, check out her menu to see what kind of selection she has to offer.
- If you're not familiar with the area go slow. I missed the entrance to the shopping center today. It just kind of crept up on me. I didn't see a sign for Kids N Coffee on the shopping center's marquee, she has a banner on the fence though.

Arlington Holiday Bazaar
I met a lot of great people at the Bazaar today. I am so excited to tell you about Doug from Good Karma Squeakers. He let me know about this great deal they have going on right now. Become a Facebook fan and upload a clip of your child to YouTube with their Good Karma's on and get a free pair of shoes. He is so excited about his business and his adorable line of squeakers.
Andrew had a pair of Squeaker Sneakers and LOVED THEM!!! I am so excited to see that we now have a local company producing these great products. I'm sure I'll have a pair of Good Karma's on Lina when she is old enough.
I was just really excited about this and want to share this amazing deal with all of you. Let Doug and Lisa know you heard about them through us please.

Free Fridays at the Children's Museum
So today is pizza night at our house and then we are off to the Children's Museum. I love the 3rd Friday of the month. They always have free admission from 5:30 to 9:00 pm. Now be forewarned, it does get pretty packed so make sure you're ready to deal with a zoo.
I have a great pizza dough recipe from the "Stinking Rose" restaurant in San Francisco. If you would like to try it send me an email and I'll forward to you.

Visit Lake Chelan
I just got done reading this fantastic article in the Herald about visiting Lake Chelan. I never realized how much this little town had to offer.
Unfortunately, I cannot find the article in the paper online. I'm not sure I cannot find it online but if anyone out there knows the URL for this article please let me know.
Basically the article discussed how much fun Lake Chelan is and all the great places to visit while you are there.
There is this fantastic little French restuarant, Vin du Lac Winery, that serves amazing food that you can enjoy out on their patio that overlooks the vineyards and of course Lake Chelan. Craig Terrill, the Seattle Seahawks defensive tackle, performs at the Chelan Riverwalk Park Pavillion.
Other events include:
Lake Chelan Street Fair, June 26-28
Rockin Fireworks on the Fifth, evening of July 5th.
Other great places to visit:
Riverwalk Books
St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, historical monument
Campbell's Resort
Check out the Chamber of Commerce for more information.
